. Brass Munkeys play 50-60s Jive, Swing music--the big band sound. It was fun having them at the reception.
Showmanship was awesome. For some of our guests, it was the first time they saw that kind of entertainment--another plus! Regarding the church requirements, I had to go home twice to fulfill the necessary requirements. There was no way around it unfortunately.
In lieu of the Discovery Weekend, Mike and I had the 1 day CEFA
I went absolutely "tassle-crazy" this week!
I bought 250 pieces of Gold tassels for our misalettes and 250 pieces of Gold tassels with slider beads for our wine souvenirs!
I found the perfect Velvet fabric to use for our wine bags. I purchased a yard (and I probably need more) of the Amboise Claret Scroll Velvet Fabric from housefabric.com. It's nice and soft and more importantly, has that "squiggly design" which seems to be a common "fixture" now on our wedding accessories (See wedding cake, table name and escort card card stocks, wedding matches, offertory candles, and soon on our invitation!)
The tassels for our misalettes are nice and they fit our misalette covers perfectly!
We're having the wine bags made in Manila. Mike's family has a "suki" for upholstery needs and I was told that he'll be the best person to make the wine bags. *I wish I paid more attention during Home Economics class when I was in grade school and high school. I could've made the wine bags myself if I knew how to use the friggin sewing machine!*
Anyway...the wine tassels have slider beads so we can adjust the opening of the wine bag. Pretty niffty, eh?
Now I'm asking myself, why in the world am I sweating the small stuff?
