r&b: Hi! Just blog hopping. Cool wedsite, very informative. Our reception will be held at Manila Peninsula too and we're still deciding whether to have a cocktail hour or not. Did you have an open bar?

Pebbles: Mike and I had the 1 day CEFAM Seminar coz we didnt have time to do the weekend seminar. Catholic churches here in the US host Discovery Weekend Seminars, you might want to do it here nalang. Hope this helped somehow. Happy preps! :)
Pebbles: MARL DIZON: Hi there! Another NY Bride, Cool! . Brass Munkeys play 50-60s Jive, Swing music--the big band sound. It was fun having them at the reception. Showmanship was awesome. For some of our guests, it was the first time they saw that kind of entertainment--another plus! Regarding the church requirements, I had to go home twice to fulfill the necessary requirements. There was no way around it unfortunately. In lieu of the Discovery Weekend, Mike and I had the 1 day CEFA
marl dizon: Congrats and thanks for your website. It's been an invaluable resource for me. Can only hope my wedding turns out as well. I'm planning my wedding in Manila from NY now and had not realized how much work was involved. I read your supplier reviews and just wanted to get your thoughts on the Brass Munkeys. Did you enjoy them? Second, was it difficult to fulfill the church requirements? I'm not sure my fiancee and I will be able to go through a 2-day Pre-Cana event.

TIME..TIME..

  • Mood:
  • Music: "SWAY" - Michael Buble

So many things to write about -- absolutely no time. Updates coming soon!

On second thought, let me write down a few things really quickly on what we managed to accomplish during my short visit to Manila:

1. Monday -- Went to Muntinlupa Municipal Hall early Monday morning to sign our marriage license application. Marriage License released the following day, Tuesday. Submitted to Santuario on Wednesday.

2. Monday -- Food tasting of menu for Despedida de Soltera at Vivere Suites. (Through the kindness of Tito Dodo, our package was upgraded from a sit down menu to a buffet menu at no extra charge. The Lord has really blessed us a lot with this wedding. God is good.) And thank you so much, Tito Dodo!

2. Monday -- Trial make-up session with Eddie Bruan. - Loved his work. See prenup pics.

3. Monday -- Had our pre-nuptial photo shoot with Lito Sy -- free of charge. Another blessing! To see prenup photos, click here.

4. Tuesday -- Had my first wedding gown fitting with Michi Calica-Sotto. Just minor revisions to my wedding gown. Was able to pick up my mom's and my MOH's gowns. Michi also released the gowns for one of our junior bridesmaids, flower girl and principal sponsor.

5. Tuesday -- Met with Ninang Anding (one of our principal sponsors) for lunch.  Ninang Anding was Mike's godmother for both his baptismal and confirmation and now she'll be one of our ninangs for our wedding.

6. Tuesday -- Met with Kelly Jugo to receive souvenir wines. Got all 200 bottles. Now working on the packaging (c/o MIL-to-be).

7. Wednesday -- Met with Kristine Sy (Manila Pen AE), Jun Hen (Event Stylist) and Rita Neri at Manila Pen to discuss reception venue layout, decor, function order, etc.

8. Wednesday -- Met with Dominic Velasco of Imacron to discuss our wedding video and AVP. We decided to get Dominic to do our AVP instead of Lito Sy.

9.  Wednesday -- Met wit Sid Estrella of Amis Print to discuss Misalette.

10. Wednesday -- Met with Lito Sy again to pick-up prenuptial pictures.

11. Wednesday -- Met with String Minstrels and 92 A.D. for selection of songs for wedding ceremony and reception.

12. Wednesday -- Met with RJ Ledesma for reception program. Skeleton of program already made.

13. Wednesday -- Submitted all SSA requirements to Bernadette.

14. Wednesday -- Pre-Cana interview with SSA parish priest immediately after submission of documents.

15. Thursday -- Attended whole day CEFAM Seminar. Pre-marriage seminar requirement complete.

16. Thursday -- Met with Christine Daria-Estabillo of Out of the Box Events, Inc. to discuss matters regarding our Despedida de Soltera.

17. Friday -- Met with Aileen Meija of Belgian Fondue Tower to discuss Chocolate Fountain and get samples.

18. Friday -- Met with Elaine of Lilac Wishes to pick up wedding cord.

19. Friday -- Had food tasting at Manila Pen with Rita, Kristine, Jun Hen. Meeting with Jun Hen regarding mock-up of floral centerpieces. Mock-up was gorgeous!

20. Friday -- Met with Penk Ching to finalize wedding cake design.

21. Friday -- Met with Louie of Forsc Ink, Inc. to discuss lighting and audio requirements. Finalization of contract.

22. OH AND WE MANAGED TO.....set up our bridal registry at Rustan's Alabang. We got to pick out a few things already. Will need to update our registry a few weeks before the wedding.

Gee..it seems like we didnt do a lot now that I listed them down...

Hi Pebbles. I don't know what your definition of a lot but that sounds an awful lot to me. :P Reading it made me exhausted at the end. Don't worry, things will work out. Basta focus on being beautiful na.:)
